Watch: Ukrainian soldier tells Zelensky ‘You will pay for everything’

Russian and Ukrainian forces are locked in a key battle in and around the town of Bakhmut.

Russian forces are steadily gaining control of the town. In his daily update geopolitical expert Alexander Mercouris said the Russian advance was ‘speeding up’.

‘More and more [Ukrainian] reserves have been eaten up which were being prepared for a counter-offensive. However it appears that preparations for the [Ukrainian] counter-offensive nonetheless continue. Ukraine cannot refuse the counter-offensive as the customer [ie. the USA] demands it.

‘Yesterday, the Ukrainian military retreated from the market. There are fights for the city administration in the very centre of the city. [Wagner Organisation] troops are pressing in from the north and captured several key positions the day before. The Russian military is grinding the elite units of the [Ukrainians]. The Ukrainians are already throwing untrained fighters here as the defense is not coping.’

Meanwhile a video of a Ukrainian soldier expressing his disgust at Vladimir Zelensky and his government is circulating widely on social media. Warning: Explicit and homophobic language.

  1. and to think that on the french riviera and spanish costa del sol, costa brava, many ukrainian youths has been spotted driving luxury cars ….

  2. Similar to US and SEATO / ANZUS Military Alliance Members spotting South Vietnamese military-age boys on their Honda Cubs with their girlfriends in tow in the more populated areas.
Very few of the locals volunteered for the ARVN; some were drafted and many disappeared when the shooting started, or took up with the communist Viet Cong and NVA Regulars.
The rest, they say, is history closing out with the arrival of NVA T-72 tanks crashing the gates of the US Embassy, and the last Air America helicopter to lift off from the roof.
BUT..with a recent DTNZ article about the greater freedom and less bureaucracy in today’s Vietnam, is it any wonder a number of Westerners are moving there?
