Our rural communities, our farming industry and our economy are under attack from the reckless policies being pushed by this government.
That’s the view of Voices For Freedom spokesman Tane Webster.
In a video recently uploaded to Odysee, Webster explains why the government’s recently announced Farm Emissions Tax is a bad policy for the country.
‘In this case, it’s the Farm Emissions Tax. Let me show you why it’s bad.
Section 4.4 of the government’s own consultation document clearly states that this new tax will cause a significant change in spending across rural communities, because they’ll have less money, a reduction in jobs and hours worked, further depopulation and accommpanying decline in community services, a reduction in quality of living, and increased stress and mental health issues.
This new tax will also result in emissions leakages. The drop in New Zealand production will be picked up by less efficient countries, effectively worsening the situation.
Our share of the world’s total emissions is miniscule. New Zealand is responsible for 0.2% of the world’s total emissions, and agriculture is only a part of that.
And finally, food and fibre exports made up 81.4% of New Zealand’s total exports in the year to 30 June 2022.
Crippling this sector will have a massive flow-on effect to all New Zealanders.
So essentially, it’s another bad idea being pushed by our government, that’s going to negatively affect all of our lives, because it affects the economy and food production.
It’s an example of our government prioritising their reputation with some international organisation, instead of doing what’s best for the people of New Zealand.
So if you don’t like the direction we’re going, support New Zealand farmers, and support the protest.’
The current NZ Govt. are an illegal bunch of miscreants posing as Parlimentarians. They rule under false pretenses off of a hijacked election. The citizens of NZ need to rise up and storm the house of rule and throw them all out into the street where they really really belong no matter what the cost. As Thomas Jefferson once famously quoted ‘the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants’. It is it’s natural manure.
