Anheuser-Busch is the brewing company founded in 1852 which owns the Budweiser brand and associated trademarks.
The company is facing a backlash over its decision to use trans activist Dylan Mulvaney in an advertising campaign for its line of Bud Light beer. Mulvaney rose to fame when he documented his transition on TikTok where it received over 1 billion views. Mulvaney came out as a trans woman during the COVID pandemic.

This is quite possibly the most out of touch with a target audience any brand has been since the Gillette ad a few years back.
Gays and cross dressers generally don’t drink beer out of the can, this company’s target market are all the blue collar, middle America types the cosmopolitan marketing and advertising agencies so viciously loathe.
I’ve seen many stories online today of bar and restaurant chains cancelling orders and boycotting the brand. Going woke is expensive business. Dumbasses 🤦🏼
They won’t care though, it’s all about those sweet sweet ESG scores nowadays. But at what point will shareholders start suing boards of directors for not pursuing policies that maximise profit? At what point will “good feelings” no longer be a sufficient dividend? How much longer is this stupidity going to continue? 🤦🏼
