20-Minute cities are a ‘control mechanism to keep you in place’ – Winston

The NZ First leader was in New Plymouth yesterday for an election campaign event.

‘These people are Marxist control freaks’, he said of those advocating the policy.

According to engineering consulting firm WSP, up to 44% of the New Zealand population could be living in three cities – Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga, by 2048 – that’s half of all New Zealanders.

Opponents of the idea claim the concept of ’20-Minute Cities’ is a ruse that will allow a technologically omnipotent State to impose unreasonable restrictions on the right of freedom of movement and privacy, and other human rights.

  1. the same as electric cars imposed on populations. You won t go far with it as you have to charge the batteries every short distances. Provided there is enough electricity
If you have the money i would suggest a diesel car. And a domestic fuel reserve you use for central heating ( excuse my english i dont know the excact term) at your home. The tanks therefore contains few thousands liters.
The colour of domestic diesel is different from the car diesel( cheaper in europe anyway) and it is forbidden to use it in your car. But some do any way. If you get caught you get a fine

  2. Its modern day serfdom, where you are tied to the land and are a there to make money, for your overlords…..I refuse to recognise this obscene dehumanising idea, in any way, shape or form…..
