Blues bolstered by return of key players ahead of Hurricanes clash

The Blues are set to welcome back several key players from injury for their pivotal Super Rugby Pacific home match against the Hurricanes on Saturday, part of a double-header at Eden Park.

With finals aspirations in sight, both the Blues men’s and nib Blues women’s teams are chasing home ground advantage as the regular season nears its conclusion.

All Blacks stars Beauden Barrett and captain Patrick Tuipulotu headline the returning players, pending successful return to full-contact training.

Additional returning players—Kurt Eklund, Ricky Riccitelli, AJ Lam, Anton Segner, and Adrian Choat—will strengthen squad depth moving into the second half of the season.

The team, however, suffers a blow with the loss of veteran prop Ofa Tu’ungafasi, who will miss the remainder of the season due to neck surgery.
