A worker was killed in a tragic incident at a construction site in Mount Wellington after being struck by a falling gate.
According to a report in legacy media outlet NZ Herald, the accident happened this morning on Lynton Rd.
Rick Herd CEO of Naylor Love confirmed the death when spoken to by the Herald. ‘At this time our hearts and best wishes are with the deceased’s family and friends’, he said.
An investigation into the fatal incident will be jointly conducted by Naylor Love, the police, and WorkSafe.
The victim was originally from overseas but had been living in New Zealand for several years.
