The teenage boy apprehended for a terrorist attack in which a Christian bishop was repeatedly stabbed in a Sydney church on Sunday, has reportedly had one of his fingers severed, according to overseas media sources.

‘The 16-year-old… had one of his fingers severed in the alleged incident,’ reported The Guardian, though uncertainty remains whether this occurred during the attack or subsequent melee.

Describing the severity of the teen’s hand injury, authorities told media he was visibly distressed. The Sydney Morning Herald also covered this development, alongside government demands for the removal of violent content and videos of the incident from platforms like X and Meta.

‘eSafety commissioner’ Julie Inman Grant said it was urgent such content be removed as it had the potential to ‘proliferate’ and ‘incite further harm.’

Failure to comply with the censorship demands could result in fines, with the commissioner targeting other social platforms as well.

The accused teenager, previously on a good behaviour bond for past offenses targeted a bishop and a priest during a church service, sparking a riot and injuring several attendees, including himself.

The incident happened within 48 hours of a separate knife attack in a Westfield shopping centre in Bondi Junction.

The teen underwent surgery for his injuries, with police confirming the use of a flick blade knife during the attack.

In a video purportedly filmed post-assault, the teen is heard referencing religious grievances. Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel, who was targeted in the attack, has previously made controversial remarks about Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, according to The Guardian.

You wonder what is the real agenda here: Is it (1) to keep society safe from Islamic terrorists, or (2) to censor social media.

Since this man has previously attempted similar things and been released then I would go for number (2).
