A teenage boy injured in a stabbing incident at a transport hub on Great King Street in Dunedin yesterday afternoon has died in hospital.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident just after 3pm.

The victim – a 16-year-old boy – was transported to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition and, tragically, passed away later in the evening.

A teenage male was taken into custody immediately following the incident and will appear in Dunedin Youth Court today.

‘This is an incredibly tragic situation for all involved and we are working to support the victim’s family, who are understandably distraught at the sudden and violent loss of their loved one,’ said Detective Senior Sergeant Kallum Croudis.

‘We’re aware that people in the area around the bus hub on Great King Street may have photos or video footage of the incident.

‘We ask that anyone with such photos or videos, along with anyone who witnessed the incident unfold, contact Dunedin Police via 105, quoting file number 240523/3321.’

According to a report in legacy media, the victim was a pupil at Trinity Catholic College.

Recent months have seen a surge in violent incidents at bus and train stations, highlighted by the Dunedin stabbing and escalating disorder in Auckland’s transport hubs.

In April, West Auckland’s New Lynn area reported a significant increase in disruptive behaviour, with incidents involving potentially armed youths and groups attacking individuals.

Similar violent attacks were also reported at the Henderson and Albany stations. Following these incidents, security and police presence at these locations was increased.

  1. Police presence now essential. More people now will drive their kids to school, more people now will take car. What a big f*** up this lawlessness has become. Juvenile delinquints, corrections need to do some correcting. Lots of money goes into it but what comes out?

    • What comes out?
It’s the ****show called NZ justice system.
These justices have no moral or common sense family upbringing themselves, or are simply corrupt.
      Or likely both.

  2. The Ardern government specifically directed the police to back off crime. We heard this from more than one senior police officer.
One of them commented that he no longer cares. How sad is that. Make no mistake people, our police do not care, we learnt that at the protest. They made it clear who they are answerable to. The good ones have left.

We have a massive problem with crime in Rotorua. Ram raids occurring on a regular basis within close vicinity of the police station. Our police are useless. Even a Maori warden said to my husband what the hell has happened to our town.

I guess that’s what Klaus Schwab meant by a more angrier world. This is all part of their plan. And now a young boy is dead.

The governments of the last 50years have wrecked this country. Ardern s government were the worst of the loyal.that narcissistic liar finished us off. No wonder the young are leaving.

  3. Did the stabber attend the Catholic School with the stabbed?
That would be interesting to know.
If so, was the 13 y/o stabber being bullied by the older stabbed and / or his ‘friends’???
Were there and are there issues ongoing between rival schools, or the gangster wannabees?
Was it just a random occurrence? (judging by the # of cops already on the scene, the Bus Stop B appears to be an ongoing problem!).

    • Very good questions, but fat chance to get proper answers from our Gestapo.
Answers would mean for the public to form a picture of what is happening with NZ society and the woke police are instructed by their fascist bosses to not let that happen.

    • The MO has a very familiar ring to it. Knife, stabbing, bus station, young male. If it were a gun I’d think it were a different demographic like a gang in Gisborne or AK. This is in Dunedin. Many migrants sent there.

Again Thank you, Jacinda. Thank you Helen, Than you, UN.

    • More details are needed, facts are it was at least 2 on 1, 2 16 yo old Maori boys start altercation with one 13 yo boy of unknown ethnicity, where they known to each other? was this a bullying incitement where someone f***** around and found out?

  4. How pathetic you right wing low life scum are.
    Its all Jacinda’s fault .
Please tell us what laws she changed scum .
