NFL great Brett Favre reveals Parkinson’s diagnosis amid welfare fraud case

Brett Favre, one of the NFL’s most celebrated quarterbacks and a three-time MVP, has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at age 54.

Favre, who led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl victory in 1997, shared the news during a U.S. Congressional hearing in connection with a welfare fraud lawsuit, where he is named in a civil case but has denied any wrongdoing.

He also reflected on a lost investment in a concussion treatment venture, tying it to his personal battle with head injuries and memory loss from his playing career.

Despite his recent diagnosis, Favre remains committed to supporting research into concussion-related issues, a cause close to his heart.
