The search for an 83-year-old man who went missing over the weekend in Onerahi has been scaled back.
The man was last seen on Saturday and is believed to have gone swimming in Whangārei Harbour on Sunday morning.
A rāhui has been imposed over the Upper Whangārei Harbour, which will remain in place for two weeks.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the Beach Road area of Onerahi between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 20, to come forward if they have dashcam footage or any information that could assist.
