Trump trolls with garbage truck after Biden’s trashing of Americans

In a pointed response to President Biden’s recent remark labelling tens of millions of Trump supporters as “garbage,” former President Donald Trump rolled up to a rally in Wisconsin in a garbage truck, donning a hi viz vest and emblazoning the truck with “Trump Make America Great Again 2024.”

Biden’s comment, made during a Harris campaign call with Latino voter outreach group Voto Latino, criticised rhetoric from a Trump rally but sparked outrage when he referred to Trump supporters as “the only garbage I see floating out there.”

Trump’s stunt and quick condemnation of Biden’s words have resonated strongly with the electorate, as Republicans see another chance to expose Democrat party hypocrisy, reviving memories of Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” remark, which many believe backfired against her in the 2016 election.

The backlash to Biden’s comment has put Kamala Harris and her campaign on the defensive as they approach Election Day.

The White House, through Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, attempted to clarify Biden’s intentions, stating he considers himself “a president for all” regardless of political affiliations.

Trump capitalised on the controversy, further criticising Biden at a Pennsylvania rally and quipping that Biden “likes me more than he likes Kamala.”

Adding to the spectacle, Trump ally Vivek Ramaswamy joined in by riding on the back of a garbage truck in North Carolina.
