A Waikato father was left haunted after discovering his ‘friend’, Greig Thomas, sexually assaulting his preschool-aged daughter in her bedroom during a social visit at their home.
Thomas was found guilty by a Hamilton jury of two charges of sexual conduct with a child under 12.
Despite Thomas’s attempt to justify his actions through confusing text messages and claims of memory loss due to medication and alcohol, the court sentenced him to 23 months in prison.
