Emergency services are conducting a search operation on Lake Taupō after a jetski incident off Acacia Bay resulted in one person missing.
The incident was reported to police around 12:40 PM today, prompting an immediate response from Taupō Police and the Taupō Coastguard. One individual and the jetski were brought safely to shore with their assistance. However, a second person was last seen struggling in the water and has not been located.
The Police National Dive Squad has been notified and is expected to join the search efforts tomorrow.
