Fijian Drua stun Chiefs with second-half comeback

Fijian Drua pulled off a stunning 28-24 upset over the previously unbeaten Chiefs in Lautoka, rallying from a 12-6 halftime deficit.

No.8 Meli Derenalagi briefly gave the Drua the lead before the Chiefs’ Anton Lienert-Brown responded.

However, back-to-back tries from Vuate Karawalevu and Ponipate Loganimasi secured the victory, with Loganimasi’s solo effort stealing the spotlight.

The Chiefs salvaged a late bonus point through captain Tupou Vaa’i, but the Drua’s relentless pressure sealed their seventh consecutive home win at Churchill Park. The result leaves Queensland Reds as the only undefeated team in the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.
