Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier is taking Pfizer and its CEO Albert Bourla to court, accusing the company of misleading consumers about the safety and effectiveness of the Covid vaccine.
The lawsuit alleges Pfizer failed to disclose potential risks and promoted the vaccine as protecting against infection without testing if it stopped transmission. Pfizer has not yet responded to the allegations.
Meanwhile, the state of Texas has its own case against Pfizer, presently at an appeals court. And in Switzerland, courts have ordered greater disclosure of Covid vaccine contracts, while Pfizer’s agreement remains tied up in a separate disclosure battle.
