911 calls reveal ‘chaotic moments’ before Liam Payne’s fatal fall in Argentina

Transcripts of two emergency calls made by hotel staff just moments before singer Liam Payne’s fatal fall from a balcony in Buenos Aires have been released.

In the first call, a staff member, believed to be the chief receptionist at the CasaSur Palermo hotel, reported that a guest had consumed “too many drugs and alcohol” and was “trashing the entire room” before the call abruptly disconnected.

In a follow-up call, the same staff member expressed heightened concern, warning that the guest’s life “may be in danger” due to the presence of a balcony in the room. They urgently requested immediate assistance.

Emergency services were dispatched to the hotel, but tragically, Payne fell from the balcony shortly after police arrived on the scene. Medics were unable to save the former One Direction star. Local authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

He is under the effect of alcohol and drugs, is he, sir?

Yes, correct.

Since when has he been there or is this a long-stay hotel?

He’s been here for two or three days.

Understood, you wouldn’t know any other details because you can’t get in, right?

We’ll notify the SAME (medical emergency) staff as well, yes?

Yes, what I’m asking is for someone to come urgently because, well…

We’ve notified SAME. Any other details you can provide. Who are you, are you in charge?
