Bic Runga has kicked off her Red Sunset Tour, marking her return to the stage with a new album for the first time in 15 years.
The singer described the experience as “surreal and deeply moving,” calling the record a labour of love and thanking fans for their continued support.
The tour opened in Hamilton and will travel across New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom over the coming months. Upcoming shows include Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, with the capital performance featuring the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. International dates will follow in cities such as Melbourne, Brisbane, London and Manchester.
Runga said the live show blends new material with songs fans have supported for decades, and encouraged audiences to listen to the album or attend performances as the tour progresses.
