Rockstar Games has delayed Grand Theft Auto VI once more, pushing its release date to November 19, 2026.
The announcement came during Take-Two Interactive’s second-quarter earnings report, with the company saying the delay gives Rockstar “additional time to finish the game with the high level of polish players expect and deserve.”
Originally slated for fall 2025, the game was first postponed to May 2026 before this latest delay.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the project remains within the same fiscal year and praised Rockstar’s pursuit of perfection. Despite fan frustration, the company continues to report strong sales, including record quarterly earnings and continued demand for GTA V, which has now sold over 220 million copies.
