US Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro announced on Monday that he has tested positive for COVID.
Del Toro is triple vaxxed, and will enter a five day quarantine.
Del Toro is the third fully vaccinated and boosted US military leader to test positive for Covid in under a month, following General Mark Milley and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
Hundreds of US military personnel have been discharged in recent months for refusing to take the COVID jab, with the US Marine Corps, for which Del Toro is responsible for as Secretary of the Navy, having the most vaccine-related dismissals.
