A stunning hat-trick from Samoan flanker Miracle Faiilagi secured Moana Pasifika a shock victory over the Hurricanes at North Harbour Stadium on Saturday, marking their first win of the Super Rugby Pacific season.
Despite captain Ardie Savea sitting out the second half, Moana held firm against a late Hurricanes fightback, with Faiilagi scoring once before halftime and twice in the second half. Debutant Patrick Pellegrini impressed with his kicking, including a crucial setup for Kyren Tamoufolau’s try.
