Renowned COVID-19 expert and mRNA pioneer Dr. Robert Malone has criticised the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), accusing the agency of mishandling pandemic policies, particularly concerning mask mandates.
In an opinion shared on X (Twitter), Dr. Malone highlighted what he said were deficiencies in the CDC’s decision-making process. He argued that the agency’s guidance ‘lacks scientific rigour and transparency’, citing inconsistencies in its recommendations and a failure to adequately incorporate emerging data on the virus and vaccines.
Malone said the CDC’s actions have eroded public trust in public health institutions and exacerbated confusion and division among the population. He emphasised the importance of evidence-based policymaking and called for greater accountability and transparency from the CDC.
The critique comes amidst ongoing debates over COVID-19 measures and the efficacy of public health interventions, as well as the credibility of so-called state-aligned ‘experts’.
The CDC has yet to respond to Malone’s criticisms.
