Scotland will remove all remaining COVID restrictions on 21 March 2022.
The announcement was made this week by Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon (pictured).
Scotland is recording between 5,000 and 10,000 cases of COVID each day. Nevertheless Sturgeon said the restrictions were no longer necessary:
- Mandatory vaccine passports for nightclubs and sports events are to end 28 February.
- The requirement to wear a face mask on buses and shops will end on 21 March.
The end of all restrictions comes after the requirement to social distance was dropped on 24 January.
