Lizzo secured a legal win as a Los Angeles federal judge dismissed all individual claims against her in a lawsuit by former wardrobe assistant Asha Daniels, who alleged racial and sexual harassment, a hostile work environment, and unpaid overtime during Lizzo’s 2023 tour.
The court identified Lizzo’s touring companies, not the singer herself, as Daniels’ employers and ruled that some claims were invalid due to jurisdiction issues with her work in Europe.
While Lizzo and her team have denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit a “publicity stunt,” the case continues against her company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc.
The legal battle follows similar accusations made by former dancers, which Lizzo also denies.
