Kmart recalls faulty portable blender over safety risk

ANKO Portable Blender news

A nationwide recall has been issued for Kmart’s ANKO Portable Blender after officials warned it could unexpectedly switch on if the base comes into contact with water, posing a serious risk of injury from the exposed blades.

Sold in-store and online between 23 January and 3 September in four colours—white, blue, green and lilac—the blenders should not be used and must be kept away from water.

Customers are urged to return the product to Kmart for a refund or contact the retailer directly if unable to do so in person.
