A Former Detroit-area physician has admitted guilt in federal court to receiving child sexual abuse material, following the exposure of his graphic online conversations expressing desires to harm infants and young children.
Lincoln Erickson, 32, of Farmington Hills, entered the plea last Tuesday (local time) after authorities dismantled a child exploitation network.
His arrest in December 2025 stemmed from the earlier capture of Brett Tooman in Ohio, which unraveled connections to two other men and ultimately exposed Erickson’s communications via text and Telegram.Court records detail Erickson’s alleged exchanges, including boasts of abusing a young child, fantasies of grooming infants into adulthood, and statements like starting exploitation “young.”
Investigators recovered explicit images and messages where he expressed affinity for other paedophiles. He also reportedly discussed plans involving minors with their father and attempted to impregnate an acquaintance.
Erickson, previously a medical resident and facing a prior domestic violence charge, admitted receiving AI-generated material.
Federal authorities highlighted the case as a stark example of predators infiltrating trusted professions.U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon Jr. and FBI officials praised the investigation for protecting vulnerable children. Erickson faces 5 to 20 years in prison, a potential $250,000 fine, and sex offender registration upon sentencing in September this year.
