A man posing as a Royal Navy Rear Admiral sparked outrage among veterans after he bluffed his way into a Remembrance Sunday service in Llandudno wearing a uniform decorated with impossible medal combinations.
Spotted by the Walter Mitty Hunters Club, the impersonator saluted at the war memorial despite not appearing on any official guest list and claiming—falsely—to represent the Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd.
Military experts and veterans quickly identified his decorations as fraudulent, noting he wore honours that no individual could legitimately receive together.
Although he behaved respectfully, Llandudno council confirmed he had not been invited and military organisations are now investigating the impostor, whose appearance follows another high-profile case of alleged fabricated service involving former police chief Nick Adderley.

REAR Admiral should have stayed at the back of the crowd.
