#royalfamilylied trends on Twitter as Markle supporters demand release of ‘bullying report’

Supporters of Meghan Markle on social media suggest the Royal Family’s refusal to release its internal report into bullying claims against her prove the allegations were false.

Princess Diana was also accused of staff bullying prior to her death. News reports at the time blamed Diana for the departure of Prince Charles’ valet and private secretary, among others.

Sputnik News reported this week that findings from the probe, paid for privately by the Queen and launched in March 2021 by an independent law firm, will be kept under wraps, according to cited sources. They added it was being done to limit tensions between the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace. Furthermore, according to insiders, the inquiry should “not be played out in public” to ensure those who participated in it felt “comfortable”.

Reacting to the decision, Markle supporters took to Twitter where the hashtag #RoyalFamilyLied trended globally.
