The Rugby League coaching legend said the NZ First leader was ‘humble’ and ‘loves New Zealand.
Former Wigan, Manly and Kiwis coach Sir Graham Lowe told viewers Peters had ‘class and style’ – just like a good player. He was humble, old fashioned, can mix with any people and doesn’t forget anyone.
‘Winston will help create a government in New Zealand that is really accountable, that can stand on its own two feet, that can say the strong words when they need to be said to other countries, can listen to what’s going on, and is humble.’

Been there, done that, never again……
I’m voting for him, defo.
Im voting for him for the first time. We need to bring Seymour in particular to his knees!
The problem is one, cannot trust Winston Peters. I’ll vote NZLoyal. Liz Gunn seems the only leader with charisma, character and integrity.
I trust Liz but unfortunately we haven’t got a lot of time to organise the 5% to get into parliament. We are stuck with our system so we have to vote for the least worst option. If we can get Winston in then Casey Costello will get in and if enough of us vote NZfirst we will get others like Kirsten Murfitt and Lee ODonohue who are awake freedom fighters, I wish they were higher up on the list.
I love Liz and everything she stands for but we aren’t going to get that drastic change in this election as there isn’t time. We must make small incremental steps so we can truly organise by next election to get these traitors in the National and Labour Parties OUT. They just lie to us and incrementally strip us of property rights and freedoms while feathering their own nests.
It won’t happen overnight but it WILL happen. I would like to see the likes of Simon Oconnor and some others break from National, team up with Matt King, Liz, Leighton Baker, Sue Grey and Tamaki who has the power to bring numbers plus their excellent Man up programme. If all these people could unite then imagine the power and momentum! We must continue to wake people up by any means possible and take the system down as it is not working for the people.
