Elon Musk has promised to stick to the outcome of his controversial poll, in which he asked his millions of followers if the should sell 10% of Tesla.
The poll on Twitter attracted over 3.5 million votes, with a 57.9% majority in favour of the sell-off.
Musk had earlier explained that the sell-off was motivated by a need to pay taxes.
The poll angered some who saw it as a technique to devalue the company’s stock.
Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10% of my Tesla stock.
