Watch: Ardern’s traffic light farce to begin from Friday

The ‘traffic light’ system for determining COVID-19 restrictions in place around the country will begin on Friday 3 December 2021.

Most of the country will start with ‘orange’, while Auckland, Northland, Taupō and Rotorua Lakes Districts, Kawerau, Whakatane, Ōpōtiki Districts, Gisborne District, Wairoa District, Rangitikei, Whanganui and Ruapehu Districts will all start at ‘red’.

No regions start at green, despite some areas not registering any COVID case for three months.

The press conference announcement video was published to YouTube by NZHerald, with comments turned off to eliminate debate, as expected. Please feel free to comment below.
