Bloomfield gives evidence at Scottish COVID inquiry

Scottish COVID inquiry news

Former Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield appeared before the Scottish Covid-19 inquiry, providing insights into New Zealand’s COVID “pandemic” response.

He highlighted how daily public briefings became a crucial communication tool for both the public and health leaders, and explained that underinvestment in health infrastructure left New Zealand with ageing facilities, limited hospital capacity, and one of the OECD’s lowest ICU bed counts.

This vulnerability drove the government’s shift from suppression to an elimination strategy, which successfully contained Covid-19 until vaccines—arriving far sooner than expected—became available.

Bloomfield acknowledged the pandemic plan was heavily influenza-based and lacked flexibility, meaning much of the response had to be adapted in real time.

  1. Ashley Bloomfield appearing in Scotland, voluntarily or was he summoned? Does that mean he was a key decision maker in Scotlands covid response and or the covid response was lockstep globally? If decision-makers were willing to proceed with controversial and high-impact policies during the crisis, then they should also be willing to account for those decisions after the fact. To do otherwise risks giving the appearance of strategic avoidance of scrutiny, which can only damage public trust — both in this inquiry and in future emergency responses. Conclusion public trust in NZ is damaged and Ashley Bloomfield appearing in Scotland rubs salt in the wound

    • The sole reason for NZs ridiculous covid response was money.

Billions were spent on a covid jab the Clark advised Ardern was told by medsafe was neither safe nor effective.

Now Ardern has retired to her millionaire lifestyle in the USA.

Unfortunately BVV, the promoted beyond her ability minister in charge of the nz covid inquiry, hasn’t thought to audit NZs $74,4b covid spend to find out who got the money and why.

The EU Leader VDL will join Ardern’s luxurious retirement lifestyle one day….

“von der Leyen’s role in the vaccine negotiations with Pfizer over what he alleges were acts of “interference in public functions, destruction of SMS, corruption and conflict of interest,”

  2. He would be too scared to stay in NZ because of the Wildmen.
The country will one day wake up to the fact that it had it’s first mass murderer politicians like Pol Pot, and they are now on the run.
New Zealand was too trusting with its health service – and once a big Political Cartel started manipulating it from foreign lands – just like any endangered species they fell for the bait.
Only people who were awake to the rubbish that they were being fed by the manipulators were ready for “The Great Cull”.
Luckily the bright ones had been mis-treated for years by the “system” and they were ready for their tricks.
in the future the people of New Zealand may have learned the hard way – but there is nothing certain about that – fingers crossed…

    • And he would have been lying like Israel just like they ALL were during the plandemic when he stated, “much of the response had to be adapted [made up] in real time.

  3. I wonder if he is going to tell them how important it is to have a secret committee to approve medications that they won’t, so they can claim innocence?

You ain’t innocent Ashley. You went on to dictate vaccination uptake for a product you did not recommend for approval. POS – a big steamin one like Michael Baker
