Cadbury scraps chocolate fish production

Chocolate fish news

Cadbury has ceased production of its popular 20g chocolate fish, a once favourite treat in New Zealand, due to declining popularity and challenges in securing shelf space.

The decision was made last year, and remaining stock is nearly depleted.

A Cadbury spokesperson explained that while the smaller “sprat” versions will still be available in Cadbury Kiwi Favourites boxes, the classic 20g size will no longer be produced.

For fans willing to pay more, local confectionery company Queen Anne offers larger 50g chocolate fish. This follows other recent discontinuations of classic sweets like Whittaker’s Toffee Bars and Pascall’s Snifters and Tangy Fruits.

  1. “Declining popularity”

    🐴 💩

Children still like chocolate last time I checked.
It’s about costs, it’s always about costs. Bloody accountants just suck the joy out of everything 😒

  2. Another cultural icon disappearing from the shelves, like a lot of items via ‘gradualism’…the gradualism of being removed and replaced with ‘ethnic chocolate’ insects???
    Aunt Betty’s Yorkshire Puddings; unavailable.
    Whitlock’s Worcestershire Sauce; unavailable.
Vita-Wine Biscuits; gone (perhaps because they were enriched with…vitamins?…
    Memphis Meltdowns; gone!
    Tim Tam Orange biscuits; unavailable.
Robert Harris Brazilian Instant Coffee; gone! (you can still get this at Office Max in a packet BTW…)
    Tolsi Butter Chicken Sauce; unavailable.
Shelves at Woolworths are not being fully stocked, and resemble the shelves post Canty Earthquakes.
New World is not moving some items due to cost. Result; expired or close to expiry / use-by dates.
Maybe the Chocolate Fish began demanding their civil rights at sea and threatened to arm themselves….can’t have that in the world of ‘gun control’ and ‘Agenda 2030’ with the associated :15 Minute Cities w/ human dog kennels…!
And it’s not the only thing Cadbury has quit making…the Pinky Bar also disappeared. Maybe the colour of ‘pink’ is reserved and copy-righted for Karens who are FemiNazis for their pink hair colour…
it’s as though the globalists want to erase not only the European / Slavic / Nordic White People, but everything associated with the culture.
Result; BAD FOR EVERYONE DUE TO A FAILED GLOBALIST AGENDA!
That’s why we usually stick to Whittakers.Chocolate.

  3. Cancelling chocolate fish is like cancelled New Zealand. That is just not cricket.
And let’s have Yorkshire puddings back, and also Coleman’s mint sauce.
I don’t care about the next iPhone.
Get the Yorkshire puddings and mint sauce NOW!

    • Queen Anne brand chocolates will still have the Chocolate Fish, in both milk and dark chocolate, w/ a raspberry marshmallow filling.
However, we can’t seem to find these either…
