Certain camembert and brie varieties produced by Waimata Cheese Company are being pulled from the market because of potential E coli contamination, according to New Zealand Food Safety.
This action is being taken to prevent the risk of illness, as E coli infections can lead to symptoms such as stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting.
The recall affects three specific products: Waimata Cheese brand Camembert, Longbush Camembert, and Longbush Brie, particularly those with a best-before date of 28 February.
