Christchurch police seek public’s help to identify man in assault investigation

Christchurch Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify a man who may be able to help with an ongoing assault investigation.

The incident occurred at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, at the intersection of Radcliffe Road and Main North Road in Northwood, Christchurch.

Detective Sergeant Luke Vaughan said police are hoping to locate the man pictured in a recently released photo. He is frequently seen riding a scooter with a small child.

Anyone who recognises the individual or has relevant information is urged to contact Police via the 105 online service or by phone, quoting file number 250216/8214. Anonymous tips can also be provided through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.

  1. Rather traceable scooter design. Why not start there? These scooters are expensive. Can’t be too hard to track suppliers and purchasers down. Duh!
