Around 6,000 senior hospital doctors and dentists began a 48-hour strike at midnight on Monday, intensifying their pay standoff with Health NZ.
Health Minister Simeon Brown broke with tradition by taking a direct role, criticising the striking clinicians as “well-paid public servants” who had chosen to abandon patients and cancel care.
He also condemned the union’s refusal to enter binding arbitration.
Health NZ estimates about 13,000 patients will be affected, based on the disruption caused during a similar 24-hour strike in May.

‘Well-paid public servants” means nothing when hyper-inflation, on all levels removes your safety margin of buying power and disposable income being used to pay for ‘essentials’…
Imagine paying outrageous taxes, rates, & fees for health care only to have one DHB (CDHB) make their request for demands for family members come into the hospital and take the place of professional staff…
Simeon Brown needs to resign, and go back to his cloned role in Pee Wee’s Playhouse…in fact, the entire Parliament needs to be dissolved and snap elections called.

The other poster is exactly right. When the cost of everything goes through the roof, from food to obscene levels of rates (no one’s doing jack shit about that) this National led coalition have done ZERO to address. Oh, but they line the pockets of dictators in Ukraine, no worries there mate but look after the people they are tasked with caring for, their fellow New Zealanders, well good luck with that! Oh and who’s well paid by the way Brown? Not exactly working for nothing, are you?
How about you National and Labour disband and do your fellow New Zealanders a BIG favour!
Kiwis are a disposable throw away item
To be milked till the cows come home
From the cradle to the grave
Covid proved that
And chem trails?
Nothing like a top up of heavy metals to the brain
Barium strontium aluminum and?
No wonder the incidence of Alzheimer’s and Dementia are rising at an alarming rate
6G will be the icing on the cake
And should flip everybody’s switch
In New Zealand, Alzheimer’s and dementia care can be subsidized by the government, but eligibility for state-funded residential care is asset and income tested—there is no blanket “non-asset tested” coverage for these conditions.
Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care Coverage
– Residential Care Subsidy (RCS): If someone is assessed as needing long-term residential care due to dementia or Alzheimer’s, they may qualify for the RCS. This subsidy is means-tested by Work and Income, which includes both asset and income assessments.
– Asset Thresholds:
– Threshold A: For individuals or couples with total assets under $273,628.
– Threshold B: For couples where one partner remains in the community—combined assets must be under $149,845, excluding the home and car.
– Excluded Assets: Personal belongings, household furniture, and prepaid funeral expenses (up to $10,000 per person) are not counted.
– Home Support Services: People with dementia may also receive non-residential support (e.g., personal care, medication management, day program’s). These services may be funded or subsidized based on a needs assessment, but again, eligibility may involve financial criteria.
Summary
Alzheimer’s and dementia care are covered under state care, but not automatically
So what does Your will mean?
Chem trails are designed to disinherit and seize family assets
With big pharma making a killing along the way
State funded condoned terrorism by licensed bandits
There are some ins and outs re state care – do Your Own research
‘…big pharma making a killing along the way
State funded condoned terrorism by licensed bandits…”
Bandits licensing bandits.
We need to look at how that licensing works and make decisive changes at the next election, me thinks.
Strike? How much do they make? Rough idea?
Probably a good thing. Will at least keep the witch doctors away from people for at least a couple of days.
