A crash in Merrilands in New Plymouth has left one person dead and another injured after a car crashed into a house on Riverside Drive this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 9:15 a.m. after reports of a vehicle crashing into a residence and becoming lodged underneath the structure.
The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was trapped for several hours as Fire and Emergency crews worked to extract the car using specialised equipment.
Efforts were hampered by fallen power lines, which also disrupted electricity in the area. Despite the rescue attempt, the driver died at the scene. A person inside the house sustained moderate injuries and was transported to hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit has closed the road to examine the scene, and police are advising motorists to avoid the area and expect delays.
Have the authorities ever bothered to question whether some of these irrational traffic ‘accidents’ or even some drownings were not a result of ‘sudden death syndrome’ courtesy of the Covid ‘clot shot’?
