Minister of State for Trade and Export Growth, Hon Phil Twyford, has tested positive for COVID-19.
He tested positive from a RAT this morning after beginning to feel symptomatic on Friday evening, and is displaying moderate symptoms.
As a result he is no longer able to travel to Timor-Leste on Monday 16 May, where he was to represent the Government at the 20th Anniversary of Timor-Leste’s independence, and the inauguration of Dr Jose Ramos-Horta as Timor-Leste’s next President.
New Zealand’s ambassador to Timor-Leste, Philip Hewitt, will instead represent the New Zealand Government at these events.
“I’m disappointed I am no longer able to travel to Timor-Leste this week. It is a country I have a special connection with, and I was looking forward to representing the New Zealand Government at this important milestone, and reaffirming the strong friendship between our two countries.
“While I won’t be able to attend in person, I would like to send my best wishes to the people of Timor-Leste on the anniversary of independence, and for the inauguration of the President-elect Jose Ramos Horta. I’d also like to thank Ambassador Hewitt for agreeing to step in for me at such short notice,” Phil Twyford said.
This clearly drives the truth home for Jabcinda. Jabs do not stop getting Covid as well as spreading it. Co-morbidity is the main cause for deaths.
Why not Jabcinda “do the right thing” and apologise to the “team of millions” for her hypocracy and autocracy on mandating the experimental therapy on us, and thereby spoiling the health of kiwis who will pay a heavy price for years to come. Our natural immunity is now highly compromised because of the jabs whose effect lasts just a few months.
If Jabcinda does not want to apologise, she and her family can very well take the “safe and effective” Pfizer jab every week or take Remdesivir on a daily basis and protect others by “doing the right thing”.
Presume both Ardern and Twyford were masked and boosted up the wazoo. It’s as if masks don’t work isn’t it?

Who in their right mind would ever take another vaccine after the utter ???? show that has been the covid vaccine? I used to be a vaccine advocate- NEVER again. In fact I now have regret that I ever vaccinated my kids against anything. One of my kids has an auto immune disease and I can’t help wondering now it this is vaccine related.

Geert Van den Bosche warns we should never try and vaccinate our way out of a pandemic for a virus, that we need unvaccinated healthy younger people to provide herd immunity and that the virus mutations will always be ahead of any vaccine.
