Jim Bolger, who led New Zealand through much of the 1990s, has died at the age of 90.
Surrounded by his wife Joan, nine children, and 18 grandchildren, he passed away peacefully on Wednesday. His family expressed gratitude for the care provided by Wellington Regional Hospital’s renal team and Wellington Free Ambulance, as well as for the support received during his illness.
Current Prime Minister Christopher Luxon hailed Bolger as a “towering figure” whose leadership and reforms left a lasting mark on the nation, while Foreign Minister Winston Peters remembered his former coalition partner as a man of integrity who continued to champion New Zealand’s interests long after leaving politics.
It is with deep sadness that I acknowledge the passing of The Right Honourable Jim Bolger ONZ PC, former Prime Minister of New Zealand.

A “towering figure” whose leadership and reforms left an indelible mark on the nation
Yes they did
Like Muldoon who got a state funeral
And helped deliver Us into the mess we now find conspired against Us
What we have learn’t from apocalypse revelation that it appears out of the mists of antiquity is that any idiot can become the Prime Minster of NZ
Most certainly Mayor of Wellington
Its all about how You hold Your tongue
And to make the right noises striking the right chords
I don’t think Bodgy was anything outstanding just like the person praising him now
More mediocre lack luster uninspiring middle of the road weak average
Everybody is the best person on the planet when they die
Because don’t forget – You cant say anything bad about a person when they have died
More Judeo Christian clap trap
Kudos
In the history of NZ just another globalist puppett.
I would give that a like
ditto that
I wont speak ill of the dead but I personally, can’t agree with any of these accolades. I’d like a future where Labour and National are expunged from our political landscape. The cruelty and oppression of globalism, gone forever.
Someone please teleport me back to the 90s
RIP Jim, but I must say, I have stopped voting for National, because of Jim.
I am trying to be good and not speak ill of the dead. Rip I guess.
One less political parasite feeding off the taxpayer
