Le Pen blasts sentence as ‘political’

The court has resorted to practices fit for “authoritarian regimes,” the politician has claimed.

French presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen has denounced the sentence handed down to her by a Paris court as a “political decision” taken on an “order” of her opponents seeking to prevent her from running in the 2027 elections. The politician was sentenced to four years in prison on embezzlement charges and barred from running for public office for five years.

According to the former leader of the National Rally party (RN), the sole purpose of the ruling was to “prevent [her] from participating and being elected in the presidential election,” she told the French broadcaster TF1 on Monday evening.

“The rule of law has been completely violated by the decision that was made,” Le Pen argued, vowing to appeal the court ruling “as soon as possible.”

The court resorted to “practices that were believed to be reserved for authoritarian regimes,” Le Pen claimed, calling it a “disastrous day for our democracy and for our country.” She also said that “millions of French people” were deprived of their preferred candidate at the upcoming elections by a “lower court judge.”

“There are millions of French people this evening, who are outraged… to an unimaginable degree,” by the actions of the court, she asserted.

Le Pen maintained she was “innocent,” adding that her trial was based on “arguments that do not hold water.” She dismissed her case as an “administrative disagreement” within the EU Parliament.

“There is no personal enrichment, there is no corruption, there is none of that,” Le Pen argued.

The former RN leader, who currently heads the party’s faction in the French parliament, also said that her conviction would by no means signal her departure from political life.

The politician was convicted of embezzling over €4 million from the European Parliament from 2004 to 2016. She received a four-year prison sentence, with two years suspended, and a five-year ban on holding public office, effectively disqualifying her from the 2027 presidential election.

Le Pen has been a prominent critic of NATO’s policies in Eastern Europe and has opposed Ukraine’s accession to the military bloc. She has also advocated against the EU’s anti-Russia policies.

The conviction of Le Pen and the disqualification of an independent presidential candidate, Calin Georgescu, in Romania, occur amid an emergence of political movements across the EU opposed to the bloc’s policies.

A number of French and foreign politicians have condemned the court ruling in Le Pen’s case as undemocratic. Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini called the verdict a “declaration of war by Brussels.”

  1. Every bit as deplorable, as the treatment of Liz Gunn. The West has become a neo con globalist, political swamp.

  2. What’s about the criminal “CHRTISTINE LARGARDE,” oh no we gave her a position on the ECB. What a f*** system the world is operating.

    • The system is designed for corporations, (as this is where evil resides) which operates in a separate jurisdiction (contract law) to we the peoples common law/natural law jurisdiction. We the people “allow” this system to operate through compliance with it. Have we had enough yet?

  3. A sheer example of law fare. The court’s prosecutor already had made an unprofessional comment about having no ground for prosecution during the hearings, (baffing in itsef,) but that she would prosecute anyway.
Then a recent law has been applied on a situation predating this law which is a legal non sense.
Even people not voting for Le Pen are outraged.

  4. Anything to take the heat off Bridgette Macron – the man who groomed a 14 year old boy named Emmanuel. Interesting in depth investigation by Candace Owens. French government is in meltdown and will do anything to distract their citizens from this story.

  5. The West is finished. That much is as obvious in France as it is in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the UK. It is in the process of being subverted, sliced and diced by the profoundly treacherous politicians and bureaucrats intent now on their demented culling of humanity, of precipitating destitution, de-industrialisation, delegitimisation and death. Every incremental step along the way, from the dismantling of education to the instillation of political correctness, to the inability to contest an ‘approved’ sanctioned narrative, to a State media long ago co-opted as a propaganda/disinformation/misinformation arm of control, to multiple layers of dystopian narratives designed to confuse, misdirect and divide, they have been the harbingers of societal destruction.
The dumbed down generations of now, bar a few individuals are ripe for the plucking. The Darwin Award deadbeats unable to spell liberty, prosperity and happiness let alone understand its context, bath in the directed and ignorant incoherence of AI directed feeds and mindless anti-social media.
But once again, freedom will arise again to repel the many denizens of tyranny. The human spirit, its unquenchable spark of divinity will once again step up to reject tyranny.
It is only a tragedy of monumental proportions that this vicious, murderous cycle needs to be repeated endlessly it seems.
It’s time to once again heed the word of God.

  6. The most infuriating thing about all these globalist governments continually pulling this sh*t is how they still insult our collective intelligence with these phony pretenses. Just come out and admit it already.

    “You can’t have elections anymore.”

    “We’re taking away your speech.”

    “We hate you.”

Just tell the truth for once in your wretched lives, stop with all the charades. We all already know what you are

  7. Benedicte de Perthuis is the judge who condemned Le Pen.
She is judge only since 2001 and before that was working for Ernst & Joung.

  8. The corruption of the elections, the corruption of democracy, the will of the people:

France in 2025 – Marine Le Pen removed by lawfare.
Romania – cancelled because an excuse was made that “Russian bots” influenced how people voted.
Ukraine – no elections since 2022 when martial law was declared and there should have been an election in 2024.
Brazil – Bolsonaro removed by lawfare and they want to imprison him even though he won the people’s vote.
US 2020 – stolen from President Trump and J6 BS used to cover up the steal.
    Perhaps others?
Perhaps many for a long time?
How about investigating the voting machines? Are they all funded by the same person?
How many elections are stolen and/or influenced by the global elite? Perhaps all?

When will the “will of the people” or Democracy (demos cratis – people power) actually be respected?
When will our will and our wishes actually make a difference?

    • I was surprised to learn that our local council only runs the local elections on the face of it, but actually subcontracts the job out to electionz.com – https://www.electionz.com/home/

      From the electionz.com website:
“For 23 years electionz.com has successfully delivered more than 6,000 elections, processing more than 100-million postal votes and online votes. With this much experience, we know how to make your election a complete success.

We can manage your complete election including advertising, electoral roll maintenance, mail outs, candidates, email reminders, sms (txt) reminders, design and print your voting material plus deal with any electoral inquiries, announcing results and notifying candidates accordingly.”

It would be interesting to know the audit policies.

      • New Zealand’s leading election management services company
        ELECTIONZ.COM LIMITED
        Date registered: April 28, 1988
        Steven John Kilpatrick – Director
At one stage, the company was a subsidiary of an American firm operating out of Long Island, New York. Back in 2001, the parent company developed software to accommodate the custom requirements for each client.
A couple of years later, Steve Kilpatrick acquired the New Zealand business and set out to build a voting platform that could be configured to accommodate any election client without writing code each time.
Kilpatrick hired Stratos Technology Partners (formerly Canterbury Business Solutions) to build the new online voting platform. The platform supports both First Past the Post (FPP) and Single Transferable Vote (STV) voting systems.
i say if you are going to participate in this “selection” process, then back to paper ballots only done at a polling booth only.
