TVNZ is holding meetings with reporters, camera operators, and other staff to discuss proposed cuts that aim to eliminate approximately 50 jobs, part of a broader restructuring to save $30 million.
The ailing legacy media outlet has suggested dis-establishing 90 roles while creating 41 new ones, impacting departments across Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington.
Staff from key areas, including the Q+A team and 1News website, are attending individual and group meetings led by management and union representatives, with many expressing anxiety over potential layoffs and outsourcing plans set for 2026.
TVNZ CEO Jodi O’Donnell has deferred final decisions on the restructuring until early December following employee feedback.
They knew what they were doing when they lied to the country about “safe and Effective” so I really have no sympathy for them as an organization.
Just close TVNZ completely, we’ve had enough of their woke globalist rubbish especially crap they push like Trans and Pregnant. We don’t actually need any News Channels anymore as everyone with a functioning common sense brain, just goes live stream to actual journalists on the scene rather than the highly censored PC rubbish delivered by Barbie and Ken type newsreaders. Had to visit some legacy websites this morning for first time in many years, just to see their meltdowns haha.
Just shut that crap propaganda channel down and use txpayers money saved to fund potholes. Then replace programming with reruns of Hogans Heroes, they will get more viewers.

Have not watched free to air TV in years But, I would certainly watch re-runs of Hagans Heroes, Green Acres, My Favorite Martian, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie as well.

Not too much fun, all keeping their heads down, some quietly smug knowing it won’t be them, others trying to keep out of sight for fear of getting the cut too. Skulking about the place. The only thing I would do is to run an information (NOT a ‘News’ broadcast in any facet..) service similar to Freeview Channel 50, but with a Teletext-style screen format (Teletext went away when ‘digital’ came in…).
Another Channel could run real-time economic information, with yet another channel for constant weather reports, (including radar imagery), and a Civil Defence Channel for emergencies and advisories.
The two last ‘Broadcast Ministers’ were given a plan to transform broadcasting into an educational asset, with listings that are available that would air on Freeview, but I never even received a response letter from Kris Faafoi or the woman before him. The current Broadcast Minister was sent the identical outline, but again…no response. How’s THAT for ‘Taxation Without Representation’???
TV programs (Mind-numbing ‘programming via flash one-frame imagery, proponents for programming the mind into government conformity, etc.) are expensive, and yet the country is broke. This is why we are seeing the time-wasting and mind-numbing repeats of game shows over and over and over again, ie ‘The Real (J3wi$h) Housewives’, The Chase, Tipping Point, ‘Million Dollar (J3w$) Listing’, numerous cooking shows that use ingredients that no one can no longer afford, medical shows that are based on Emergencies (which is why I’ll die at home…), and home renovation programs (“Hey honey, Sarah’s decided against wall paper and is going to pick-up some paint…).
Bravo is by far the worse channel, spewing out the rich Zionist lifestyles for all the Gentiles / Goyim to see; a lifestyle none of us will ever have save for winning the lottery.
Yea. Dump the entire current broadcasting profile, with the useless, meaningless banter of the 6AM-9AM shows, the 7PM show, and the lying news media that are now complicit in a bio-chemical injection that will kill millions between 2025-2030. What is doesn’t kill has certainly mained and crippled millions as well, but eventually they too will develop heart problems and turbo-cancers.
And the taxpayer-funded NZ media encouraged it all!
Worse still, the ‘Parliamentarians’ who went along with ‘safe and effective’ and who threatened to ‘hunt down the non-vaccinated’ are still at the Hornet’s Nest…er.. I..I mean…BEEHIVE, and have yet to be criminally charged!
