A 20-year-old man has appeared in the Manukau District Court after an email threat sent on Wednesday led to Waiuku College going into lockdown.
The school was one of two named in the threat, which was also sent to multiple organisations, including state-funded media RNZ.
The man and a woman were taken into custody on Thursday, and he now faces charges of firearm and ammunition possession. He was granted interim name suppression and was remanded in custody.
