New Zealand and 26 other nations have urged Israel to allow immediate and independent foreign media access to Gaza, condemning restrictions on press freedom and the alleged targeting of journalists.

The joint statement from the Media Freedom Coalition stressed that journalists play a crucial role in documenting the realities of war and must be protected under international humanitarian law.

It called for investigations into attacks on media workers, greater safety assurances for both local and foreign journalists, and reinforced appeals for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, unhindered humanitarian aid, and progress toward a two-state solution for lasting peace.

  1. They do not and never did intent peace and their incomprehensible alien words spit calculated lies. Their birthrate had increased while the rest of the world falters under the weight of its own deception.

  2. “Alleged targeting of journalists”? Only over 200 assassinated to date for reporting on the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the semitic people of Palestine. As for the collective wests Zionist occupied government’s (ZOG) “calls”, to little to late, and we see through you.
