The NZOFP (NZ Outdoors and Freedom Party) is concerned about imbalance in media reporting to the New Zealand public about the risks from paracetamol to pregnant women and their unborn babies, as was announced by US Health agencies yesterday.
New Zealand normally follows the recommendation of the CDC. That advice was frequently relied on by NZ authorities during the Covid Pandemic.
“Now the CDC risk assessment has changed and no longer suits the NZ Health agencies, their spin doctors and other media, they have resorted to “shooting the messenger” with dismissive spin, rather than sharing the evidence and assumptions that the US Health agencies advice was based upon”, said NZOFP in a press release.
“The NZOFP has made a formal complaint to the Broadcasting Standards Authority and NZ Press Council and urges relevant media to share balanced information so New Zealanders can make an informed decision for themselves on their future use of Paracetamol.

Our media is ‘captured’ and totally biased.
