A public press conference in Auckland has been announced, promising to reveal critical information in the public’s interest concerning the ongoing legal proceedings against journalist Kelvyn Alp and Counterspin Media host Hannah Spierer.
The pair were charged on August 25, 2022, with distributing objectionable material linked to the 2019 Christchurch mosque attacks.
The press conference will also address Alp’s candidacy in the Tamaki Makaurau by-election.
Spierer further promoted the event on Counterspin Media’s Telegram channel, hinting at an additional information drop relating to the mosque attack.
Members of the media, the community, and the wider public are being urged to attend, with organisers confirming that questions will be taken from the floor.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at the Onehunga Community Centre, Yates Room, 83 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland.

It does not take a genius to see that the Counterspin Media arrests / confiscation of equipment and data was purely to intimidate them/us/alt-media in the run up to 2023 general election.
Liz Gunn was also entangled in a controversy as a challenger to the status quo. Alp, Spierer and Gunn were assaulted by the NZ Corporation Police and subject to humiliation to dissuade them from journalism/truth seeking.
They all need our support and vociferous opposition to the injustice of process prosecution, mean only to wear down and financially exhaust a challenger.
There are so many questionable holes in the government sanctioned mainstream narrative of the Christchurch shooting. The fact that the general public are not permitted to view the footage nor question inconsistencies in the narrative; should raise an eyebrows at the minimum.
