Dot Jones, wife of New Zealand First MP Shane Jones, was assaulted at Auckland Airport’s domestic terminal during a confrontation on Saturday morning.
According to a spokesperson, the couple were waiting for a flight when a man began hurling racial slurs and abuse at Shane Jones.
Dot intervened, resulting in a physical altercation where the man allegedly grabbed her shoulder, causing her to stumble. She spoke to police afterward, and charges are expected.
Auckland Airport is assisting police with their investigation and reiterated its zero-tolerance policy toward abuse.
No injuries were reported, and the couple has declined further comment.

Whilst Shane wasn’t in parliament during covid, he is now, so I guess he could look into a few things about the way covid was handled…….however touching and spitting is uncalled for and frankly disgusting. Furthermore it was Shane’s wife who bore the brunt. Totally unacceptable.

I read that Herald article. What a disgrace even mention Benjamin Bussy. He hasn’t been attacked. He probably hasn’t even had death threats. Get the police involved in the Benjamin Bussy affair and make sure that child is safe. What that has to do with raging nut bars attacking Shane Jones and his wife I will never know.
