Police have charged three men after a targeted drug operation uncovered a stash of cannabis packaged for sale at a Masterton home.

The arrests came on Tuesday, 2 December, when officers executed a search warrant at a residential property as part of an ongoing effort to curb the supply of illicit drugs in the Wairarapa.

Inside the address, police found 273.6 grams of cannabis, already divided and prepared for sale, along with scales and other equipment commonly used in drug dealing. Officers also seized several imitation and modified air rifles, with further firearms-related charges now under consideration.

The men, aged 21, 22 and 43, appeared in the Masterton District Court yesterday and have been remanded to reappear on 8 January 2026.

Detective Senior Sergeant Phil Skoglund said the operation demonstrated police determination to disrupt drug networks harming local communities. “The sale and supply of illicit drugs causes significant harm in our communities. We are determined to stamp out this offending wherever we find it, but we can’t do it alone,” he said.

  1. Just goes to show you;
    “If guns were outlawed, only outlaws would have guns!”
    Let’s hope that the same motivation to build from scratch and modify ‘junk guns’ with ‘ghost parts’ is present when / if New Zealand is ever invaded, or if / when Operation Katipo goes full hot in the 2026 (s)election and the Zionist-controlled Global Uni-Party gets dumped once & for all, & for good!
    But, then again…if the youth benefits and a decent payable living wage with a surplus of jobs were available, then maybe people wouldn’t have to resort to this high-risk lifestyle that only fills the prisons…
