Alcaraz wins Australian Open

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in four sets, 2-6 6-2 6-3 7-5, to win the 2026 Australian Open men’s singles title at Rod Laver Arena.

Djokovic took the first set before Alcaraz responded strongly, winning the next two sets to take control of the match.

The fourth set was closely contested, with Alcaraz securing the decisive break late to close out the victory under lights in Melbourne.

The win gave Alcaraz the Australian Open title and completed his career Grand Slam, adding to previous major victories at the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. The result also marked his seventh Grand Slam title overall.
