Enquiries are underway following the discovery of a body in Tikipunga on Sunday 8 January.
Police were called to a location near Amy Kate Street around 5.30pm.
A formal identification has now been completed and we can confirm the body is that of 41-year-old Moana Marsden, who had previously been reported as missing.
At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained.
Police are interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen or heard from Moana in the last month and ask them to please contact Police via their 105 phone service or online using Update My Report.
