Trump mocks ‘failing Europe’ at Davos (Video)

U.S. President Donald Trump used a highly anticipated address at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos to berate European leaders, threaten sweeping tariffs, and reiterate his intention to bring Greenland under American control, portraying Europe as economically mismanaged and strategically dependent on Washington.

Speaking before global business and political elites, Trump warned he would impose a 10% tariff on all goods from eight European countries that recently deployed troops to Greenland, insisting US control of the Danish territory is a “core national security interest” and declaring the island “our territory.”

He dismissed concerns about military force with a “no comment” response and mocked European leaders as evasive and weak, claiming they avoid eye contact while relying on US trade and security guarantees.

Trump singled out French President Emmanuel Macron for ridicule, recalling past tariff threats that he said forced compliance, and questioned NATO’s reliability while boasting that the alliance would not exist without his pressure on members to raise defence spending.

Throughout the speech, Trump accused Europe of “heading in the wrong direction,” blaming its leaders for economic decline, mass migration, and social instability, while claiming the United States is “keeping the whole world afloat.” He also announced surprise contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin and an expected meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, underscoring his effort to dominate the Davos agenda with a confrontational message that left Europe cast as dependent, directionless, and increasingly irrelevant.

    • Only an idiot would believe Trumps america is acting with the average citizens best interests at heart.

Like Winston’s wait and see approach. Or, Luxon’s hide away and make no comment.

  1. Well thats lovely isn’t it. The bully abuser continues his abuse until he gets punched in the nose.

What are gonna do Europe? You foolishly backed up the US’s meddling in Ukraine and weakened yourselves. And now he rubs it in your faces that you are dependant on him.

    Do something meaningful you cowards

  2. The elephant in he room: the globalist banking cabal has impoverished and indebted ALL countries.
Thej leave it to the politicians to carry the cadavers.
Never forget thejr century old motto: divide and conquer.

  3. Broke, decaying cities, people divided against themselves. Violence and threats are all the USA have to offer, the rest of humanity. Its so reminiscent of what Hitler and Mussolini, had to say about Europe and how they would fix its problems. There was a kernel of truth in it, certainly Europe is dysfunctional, has been for a long time but the end result was disaster, on a near global scale. Suffice to say, this will not end well.

    • Because they believe in globalism, its as simple as that. I said Trump would get a warm welcome and he has. Surprise, surprise.

  4. “The U.S. remains the freest nation on Earth, and if it falls, the rest of us don’t stand a chance. Look around—France, Belgium, the UK, Venezuela—once-free societies hollowed out by elite arrogance and centralized power, all told it was for their own good. Trump will be gone one day. That’s inevitable. But what must endure is the United States as a free, sovereign nation. If America falls, the dominoes will follow—and there will be no one left to push back. This is bigger than one man. This is about whether freedom itself still has a defender”

    • He would not know the first thing about this country. How is he gonna waltz in and sort it? Look at Venezuela. He doesn’t have the foggiest on how to get the oil companies in there without starting a huge ground invasion to get the oil out.

The guy is a bellicose idjit.

      • Yes, all bellicose idjits make 10 Billion dollar real estate fortunes and become huge international celebrities and win the US presidency TWICE, don’t they? 😆

I always love how Drumpf is simultaneously an “idiot” and somehow also an evil genius working for Netanyau/Putin/Elon etc etc etc

        You people are utterly retarded.

        • The ” retarded” are right !!
The bully is the ( last) grave digger of the USA. The US vulture is in death throes. Totally broke and previous ” allies” are selling their Tbonds to buy gold.
          Gloating !!!
