Dramatic scenes at a Takanini petrol station today as armed police arrested a man on the forecourt.
The episode ‘like something out of America’ was filmed by a local resident.
The man is believed to have been connected with a firearms incident at an Avondale property on 28 December. About half a dozen armed police can be seen surrounding a black car.
A female occupant gets out and walks towards police. Officer’s tell a male occupant to get out with his hands on his head. The suspect complies, walks slowly towards police, and is cuffed.
Nothing dramatic there imo.
